The Golden Age Flight Museum was started by Todd Schultz and backed by a group of local aviation enthusiasts.  Our mission is to promote education through the history of aviation, to provide a central location for local residents and people passing through to come learn about our history.

Currently there is nothing available for residents of Kern County to see or learn about aerospace without having to travel many hours.  This is something the local community desperately needs.

We have a diverse collection of historical aircraft and vehicles located in Tehachapi and our restoration shop hangar in Bakersfield California.

The "Golden Age" of aviation was the quickest era of development between the 1920's into the 1950's.  Golden Age Flight Museum seeks to acquire flyable aircraft to demonstrate to the public and excellent examples of artifacts with educational value from this era.  We are an approved California 501c3 Charitable Organization.  All donations are tax deductible.

Events at the Hangar

Our Museum hangar in Tehachapi, CA is available for special events such as weddings, corporate parties, etc.

Golden Age Flight Museum is more than just a collection of old airplanes.  Our purpose is to introduce as many people to flying as we can.  This is made possible by generous donations and support from people like you.

The next event will be posted once we have everything organized.

In addition to flying, we are also collecting anything related to A&P mechanic training, such as engines, airframes, engine accessories, and support equipment.

Once a usable inventory is available we will offer schools access to our inventory for their training.  Not all schools have the ideal training aids.  We will offer the option of having a catalogue of items available to borrow for use in schools.
